This is glamping of the very best kind; privacy and picturesque views the Maraetotara river, forests and clean green New Zealand countryside.

There are many splendid walks on Clifton offering picturesque scenery and widespread views of Hawkes Bay. Take a dip in the fresh Maraetotara River beside your tent or head to the beach for a swim in the ocean just minutes away. Try your hand at fly fishing on the river with local guide Mark Webster, or see the beauty of Clifton while horse rIding over the property through rivers and forests. Leave it all behind and unwind with a private couples massage on the deck of your glampsite.

The station is adjacent to Cape Kidnappers with its gannet colony and famous golf course, and is within easy reach of local wineries, the beach and cycle tracks (just 20 minutes from Havelock North, Hastings and Napier), with a wonderful north facing aspect that captures all day sun, and the perfect romantic setting as the sun settles.

Perfect for couples looking for a peaceful and private escape, you'll enjoy relaxing in your super king-sized bed listening to the sounds of nature; the beautiful river running by, the light breeze rustling the leaves of the trees, and the gorgeous chorus of bird life.
During the day, it's easy to jump in the car and head out to explore the region. World class wineries including multi award winning Elephant Hill are near by, and if you feel a like city buzz, Napier, Hastings and Havelock North with their shops and cafes are only a short drive away.
Otherwise, just take the time to "leave it all behind, and unwind". Enjoy a dip in the river, a walk or cycle on one of the many tracks in the area, and at the end of the day - star gazing to your heart's content in a hot steaming outdoor bathtub.
