Welcome to our slice of paradise, situated on the beautiful Pakihi Road , nestled in the stunning Pakihi Valley at the foothills of the Urutawa Forest and surrounded by native bush.
Alongside the Otara River is our beautifully appointed accommodation. Previously the old Õpõtiki school tuck shop and affectionately named Harmony due to the serenity and peace that this area brings.
Everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay we have endeavored to provide. The space has a comfortable Queen size bed and kitchenette.
The Full bathroom including a bath is a few steps from your door.
Pakihi Road is part of the Motu cycle track so perfectly located for mountain biking or hiking. Õpõtiki township is a 15 minute drive for any essentials you will need including a supermarket.
Ōpōtiki is the perfect place to stop relax and explore. Surrounded by pristine beaches rivers and forests, rich in culture and history. Everything is on your doorstep in this beautiful small town. If you are wanting to explore slightly further afield, Waiotahe Beach is a short 25 minute drive and is popular for swimming and surfing. Hukutaia domain has multiple walking and biking tracks only 20 minutes away, or stay closer to home and enjoy the Pakihi track with its endless walking and mountain bike tracks.
Please note that there is no cell phone reception or wifi available, however we do have a landline in case of emergency. This is an opportunity to log off from the world for a while and enjoy the peace and serenity that this beautiful piece of Aotearoa New Zealand has to offer.

Everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay we have endeavored to provide. The space has a comfortable queen size bed and kitchenette.
The kitchenette has a full sized oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, cookware and utensils. Tea, sugar and coffee are also provided. The bathroom facilities, including a bath, are just a few steps from your door. Hand soap body wash and towels are available for your use.
Outside is a BBQ and deck to sit back and enjoy the beautiful views that the Pakihi Valley has to offer. There is an add on to the unit currently unavailable to guests but has a small under cover deck with a table and chairs which you are also welcome to use.
We do live on site, so if there is anything you need please don't hesitate to ask. Privacy for our guests is important, so unless you need anything we will leave you to enjoy the privacy and tranquility that this beautiful area has to offer. A lock box is on the gate as you arrive for self check in.

Originally from England, I have lived in NZ for 25 years. I have always wanted to own my own slice of stunning New Zealand native bush and set up an accommodation business. My dream came true a year ago when myself and my husband bought 16 acres in the beautiful Pakihi Valley.
