Please be aware that there is a short walk from the carpark to the hut and the first 150 meters of the access track can be very wet and slippery due to the construction of a new track which is currently taking place.
When staying for two or more nights the Hut will not be serviced during your stay.

The hut was just perfect. The bed was really comfortable. All the furniture was fabulous. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The small touches such as wine and beer in the fridge and a lovely platter were so appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for having us.

Even with overcast days the Pigeon place is a lovely spot with views overlooking the Canterbury plains. Close to some short walks.

The cabin is in a beautiful spot, with great views out on the the Plains. Comfortable bed and all the furnishings you need for an overnight or weekend stay.
The access track was a bit muddy so we parked at the bottom and just did a short walk up to the hut.
