There are many ways to unwind and relax at the character filled cottage with its stunning views out over thousands of acres of picturesque farmland. Soak your cares away in the luxurious two-person outdoor stone bath while stargazing and enjoying a glass of wine. Take time out with the outdoor fire and indulge in kiwi-style s’mores with your complimentary s’mores tray. Have breakfast and a coffee while looking out to the gorgeous countryside and sitting at the custom-made bar leaner when the weather is warm. If the weather is cold, light the indoor fire and be toasty warm and cozy in the cottage while you curl up with a good book and a hot drink, perhaps you’ll want to pull out the selection of board games and have a cozy day in. Later you could snuggle up in bed, maybe with some popcorn, and watch a movie on the projector screen that comes down with the press of a button right at the end of the bed.

From the high end preserves and spreads, to the Nespresso coffee machine, fresh whole organic pasteurised milk from a nearby farm, farm-fresh free-range eggs, gourmet breakfast supplies, divine natural bath bombs, luxurious bubble bath and heavenly bath salts to choose from. The body products are equal to or better than those you would find in 5 star accommodation [all of the former being 100% natural products chosen for their luxuriousness], the complimentary s’mores tray and other touches to add to your experience.
Situated approximately 30 minutes from Havelock North and Hastings, just 3 minutes to the popular Patangata tavern and 15 – 20 minutes to a couple of great beaches. A very warm welcome to you from your hosts, Nick and Marlena.
We bought this country property in 2022 after moving from the suburbs and have been renovating it since.
After moving here and realizing what a special and unique spot the cottage sits on, we knew we had to renovate it and make it somewhere even more special for others to be able come and share our little piece of paradise. Although you're only 30 minutes from Havelock North and Hastings, most guests will take in the idyllic surroundings and just want to relax and unwind. If you can manage to lure yourself away you're 15 minutes or so to a couple of great beaches and 3 minutes to a great pub. It's the ideal country retreat.
