Easy access to the water, the mooring was safe and easy to use, especially with the kayaks that we could use. Shame we had some rough weather so we didn't get to kayak but we did lots of walking around the area. Perfect weekend - thank you!"

The view was ridiculous - the Kawau Harbour seen through a filter of native trees, sunsets galore.

The house was perfect for a wintery get away, cosy with a fire, great outlook onto the beach and everything you could ever need - including a food processor!

We had a really enjoyable holiday with everything so well thought out - a beautifully crafted building with the most stunning aspect to view the westerly rays of sun through the Pohutakawa tree - with a baby Tui and plenty of Weka to keep us company. Well protected from the easterly winds, a beautiful beach and all tide wharf to enjoy! We will definitely be back.

Such a beautiful spot amongst trees with great views! The house is very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The fireplace was already set up which was great as we arrived on a rainy winter day. There was plenty of space for us 4 adults and 2 children. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute. Communication with owner was excellent. Hopefully will be back with our boat next time. Highly recommended.

About your host, Michael

Hi, I am from Auckland, New Zealand. I am a landscape designer who loves the outdoor lifestyle that New Zealand has to offer. My family has been coming to Kawau Island for over 40 years now. I have a strong affinity for the natural environment and actively plant trees and shrubs on our property to help regenerate the native bush. You will find me a friendly and personable host with excellent communication skills. I look forward to hearing from you.
