Reviews

Such a beautiful spot amongst trees with great views! The house is very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The fireplace was already set up which was great as we arrived on a rainy winter day. There was plenty of space for us 4 adults and 2 children. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute. Communication with owner was excellent. Hopefully will be back with our boat next time. Highly recommended.

We had a really enjoyable holiday with everything so well thought out - a beautifully crafted building with the most stunning aspect to view the westerly rays of sun through the Pohutakawa tree - with a baby Tui and plenty of Weka to keep us company. Well protected from the easterly winds, a beautiful beach and all tide wharf to enjoy! We will definitely be back.

About your host, Michael

Michael's Photo

Hi, I am from Auckland, New Zealand. I am a landscape designer who loves the outdoor lifestyle that New Zealand has to offer. My family has been coming to Kawau Island for over 40 years now. I have a strong affinity for the natural environment and actively plant trees and shrubs on our property to help regenerate the native bush. You will find me a friendly and personable host with excellent communication skills. I look forward to hearing from you.

Questions and Answers

Question: Could you please tell me how we get to the island from the mainland? I would like to come with my two daughters in October.
asked by Bronwyn on 03/09/2020 16:24

Answer: Hi Bronwyn, thank you for your enquiry. There is a daily ferry service from Sandspit. Please Google Kawau Cruises and you will be able to view their schedule and prices. The ferry drops you off at the wharf directly in front of the house. Parking is also at Sandspit. Kind regards, Michael
