We have a fully functional off the grid little kitchenette stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils. We provide tea, coffee, milk and a complimentary local 'bush block' honey. Bring your own food and drinks along with an adventurist spirit ready to cook on bbq & gas, you will be boiling hot water to do your dishes (yes you get the full glamping experience!). Power is our most precious commodity so electric appliances like a microwave are absent.

Wilderness Retreat Cabin also known as 'Whare for the Whanau' has it's own bush clearing which is a perfect family friendly space to spread out, enjoy bush views and the solitude of scenic silence.This little cottage has an outside under cover area complete with a cosy fire pit and under cover access step out the door into to a very rustic little outhouse. Power is our most treasured commodity and is supplied keeping in mind we are self sustained living on a 'off the grid' powered system.

Hi there, we're Mal & Catherine and we have been married 30 years with three amazing sons that have now fledged. We also have two beloved grandchildren who we treasure. Neither of us have been scared of change, however this challenge has not been for the faint of heart taking on a 75 acre bare bush block 820 meters above sea level. We can honestly say apart from rearing our family, this is the most exciting 'living the dream' challenge we have had and are experiencing. We're so proud of our slice of paradise and we would love to share our dream and gorgeous property with you!
