Only 10 minutes from Opotiki there is plenty to enjoy here - troutfishing, hiking, mountainbiking or just enjoying a walk on the beach.
After enjoying these activities you can relax in a hot bath on the deck while you take in the great outdoors. Drifting off to sleep in the comfort of our cosy queen size bed you may hear the calls of the morepork owl and awake to the chorus of birdsong or the sound of kereru flying by. This is the experience of Waterfall Mountain.

We have a full kitchen with a BBQ for cooking and a chilly bin for storing your food in (just bring some ice if required). We have a range of pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups cutlery and cooking utensils. Tea and Coffee are complimentary with a Kettle used on the BBQ (just bring your own milk). We can supply a continental or cooked breakfast (ingredients supplied and you cook it yourself) for an extra charge.

A fantastic stay. So good to get off the grid. The glow worms surrounding the yurt at night were amazing. We saw baby goats on our walk up the property. The breakfast was really generous and just lovely 😊.

Waterfall Mountain Glamping is one of those hidden gems. The location and immediate environment is what one experiences when at one with nature. Definitely a place that allows one to experience peace and serenity away from the rush, bustle and constant exposure to technology (phone, internet etc). It gives us a glimpse of what Heavenly peace is.

We had a fabulous time, its so tranquil in the bush, the site has everything you need to be comfy and cosy. We loved being off grid and exploring the area, still close enough to Opotiki to easily grab any essentials you may have forgotten. Beautiful spot, so relaxing.

Beautiful spot in a very peaceful location. The only noise is the waterfall. All you need is supplied. Super comfy bed and bed linen. Just turn up with your food, switch off and relax.

Loved this place, lots of attention to detail make it work so well. The setting is beautiful and it is very relaxing. The only thing I'd recommend changing is putting a headboard on the bed, so the pillows don't fall off the end of the bed.

Such an awesome spot. Right in amongst native bush with plenty of bird life around. The outdoor bath and glow worms covering the surrounding banks was magical. And the neat little wood burner kept us nice and cosy.
