About your host, JENNIFER
Jenny and Ces have lived in the Maratoto Valley for over 23 years and have lived on the Coromandel Peninsula for most of their lives (they are both active seniors now!). We live in a newly built cottage close by and intended to move back, once renovation was completed, to our original home but have now decided to stay put and allow our home to be available to others to experience living in what we and many say is a "beautiful piece of rural paradise".

Explore the nearby areas - we're close to many Department of Conservation walking tracks within our Valley, and close by in the Karangahake Gorge near Waihi (Waikino), as well as the Pinnacles in the Kauaeranga Valley (Thames).
Join the Hauraki Rail Trail at the small village of Hikutaia to cycle and explore the rural areas north and south.
Visit Te Aroha (also by cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail) to walk Mt Te Aroha or soak in the warm therapeutic renowned natural mineral pools there.
