Situated on the top of Table Hill, 400m above sea level, this newly-built retreat is the perfect romantic, off the grid, get away for
couples craving a luxurious peaceful rural escape.
Table Hill Hut was established by Warren and Stephanie, the third generation of the family to live on and
farm this 1200 hectare property.
The idea of creating this unique Haven and sharing the tranquil
landscape the family are so fortunate to live in has been
a joint family project.
Table Hill Hut offers guests an escape from their busy
lifestyle in a private magical hideaway. Guests can enjoy scenic
walks through the native bush, walk part of Matai Falls Rail Trail
or take a short drive to nearby waterfalls and beaches.
Guests wishing to gain a glimpse of traditional kiwi farming may
take a farm tour or watch working dog demonstrations. At the end of the day,
relax with a massage or soak in an outdoor hot tub and admire
the stunning views of the Catlins.
Hosts Warren or Steph will transport guests to the hut via an off-road experience, which can be bumpy, so if guests suffer from any health issues, they are to advise hosts.

With a fridge and basic utensils -jug, toaster, plates, cutlery, mugs, glasses and tea and coffee. This small kitchenette is perfect for a little extra independence. We also offer cooked meals if you do not wish to cook. Let me know in advance so I can prepare a lovely meal for you.

It has a log burner for heating, and cooking can be done on a gas hob, allowing guests to self-cater. Other catering options also available.
There is a large deck to relax and capture the breathtaking views of The Catlins and beyond. There are a barbeque and hot tub situated on the deck.

This is by far the most peaceful and secluded place that I've stayed at. Nobody around as far as the eye can see... And yet, unlike most remote places where you'll be lucky to have electricity, this one had everything. A gas stove top. Mini refrigerator. A hot tub. And somehow, even high-speed internet. All with a large, king bed and rainfall shower. If you have the chance to go, take it.

Warren and Steph farm a 1200ha sheep and beef farm in the heart of The Catlins. Table Hill Hut is a new build capturing wonderful views and being in proximity to Catlins well known landmarks such as Purakaunui Falls, Papatowai Beach and many other scenic attractions.
This retreat is the perfect romantic, off the grid getaway for couples craving a luxurious, rural and peaceful escape.
