It's a journey back to simpler times - with all the luxuries! A private deck, seating area, outdoor beanbags, games galore, just relax and take in the views! Wake up in the morning to the sound of the creek in all its glory - flowing, bubbling and gurgling past... take a picnic down, chill out or go eeling (catch and release) Sit in the outdoor bath with a glass of wine, a beer or a cuppa tea and soak up those country views, rolling hills, our beautiful Mountain, surrounding trees and birds chirping. Have the outdoor fire roaring, toast some marshmellows and star gaze on a clear night.
Do as much or as little as YOU like.
What a fantastic weekend away spent in our glamping retreat tent. We walked in with petals shaped into a heart on the bed (loved that) Plus the smell of the most delicious freshly baked loaf we have ever had!
The tent was nice and cozy, the bedding was to die for, I slipped into those sheets and felt like I was floating in heaven. The cows outside were super friendly and let us pat them. The bath outside was great, we had rainy wether when we stayed, so no view of the mountain....HOWEVER just staring into the country side with cows on the hill was just as good of a view.
Breakfast supplied in the basket was more than enough for the 2 of us and those sausage were some of the nicest we have had.
100/10 we will be back.

What an amazing experience! Can’t recommend this glamping enough, it has all you need to spend a relaxing time away from all the busyness of life. Linda and AJ are the best hosts, the freshly made bread and muffins were a treat! The place is also super private, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place to stay with lots of thoughtful details. Beautiful loaf of fresh bread, epsom salts for the bath, marshmallows for the fire. We enjoyed a night out by the fire watching the football World Cup games.

What a great few days away from the rat race! Our first experience with glamping and it won't be our last. Linda and AJ are just the best hosts and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more - great location, wonderful accommodation with many thoughtful touches to make it special, home-cooked breakfast brought to our door and lovely, friendly hosts. It really was an experience to remember and I'm sure we'll be back.

About your host, Linda
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
We love it here so much, we want to share it! Its close to town, but a million miles away!
Both our families grew up in this area. Always having been drawn to this property when driving past, we didn’t hesitate to put an offer in when it came up for tender in 2005. We won the bid and were super excited to move in, even though it was in a run‑down state we could see beyond that.
(AJ being a builder and Linda a painter/decorator) we then spent the next 10 years renovating it back to its original state as a 1910 Villa.
In 2011 we had our wedding here in the grounds.
When we purchased it never imagining we would be pitching a permanent tent on our land!!
The Glamping Idea came about one wet day – watching an overseas documentary on Glamping Experiences. I said to AJ we should put one in our back paddock (half pie joking)…next thing we know…it’s happening, as I was wanting to do something different from my decorating business I’d been running for 25 years – this seemed perfect and something quite unique as we hadn’t seen any others around.
So in 2015 we started planning – 18 months later we opened – transformed a farmland paddock into what you see today.
The biggest challenge was probably the landscaping – as the site was originally just a hill, but it all came together eventually after some blood, sweat and tears….and a whole lot of fun!
Country Retreat Glamping works perfectly with our other business we own Living Lifestyles – installing Wood‑fires, Solatubes and Aluminium Gates which we run from home.
We have chickens, cows and plenty of room for our grand‑kids and german shepherd Kaida to run around our 1 and a half acre lifestyle block.
I foster cats and kittens also for the SPCA and AJ has not long finished building me a Catio to house them in (handy having a builder husband) 😊
I love my gardening and AJ goes out for a round of golf whenever he gets a chance.
We look forward to sharing our little piece of paradise with our future guests.

Questions and Answers
Question: Hello!
I tried booking this property for the coming weekend.
which is check in on 28th June and checkout at 29th June
I went through the whole process but then I got a text msg saying the booking was decline, I did not receive any valid reason for the decline, can you provide any specific reason why I couldnt book it on those days? asked by Abhi
on 26/06/2024 15:13
Answer: Evening Abhi,
Sorry for the trouble you are having with this booking. Last night I had to decline the booking when it came through and I messaged you back with the reason, which was for some unknown reason Off The Beaten Track had not blocked out the 28th and 29th of June on their site, as we already have guests arriving and staying for 2 nights tomorrow, I also asked if any other dates suit you. I will call Off The Beaten Track tomorrow to find out why the first message didn't get to you and why the dates were still available on their site.
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you and I hope you will book in the future with another date that suits you.
Warm Regards Linda
