Set in a great location - you'll be just minutes away from local amenities and treasures of the Waipa area. It is also a good base to explore the natural wonders in the area including the Waitomo Caves, Mt Pirongia and Kakapuka with many major attractions within a 2-hour drive. The guest house is just 25 mins drive to Mystery Creek and 45 mins to Cambridge (Karapiro).
LIFESTYLE BLOCK TOUR - INCLUDED
Included in your accommodation is a guided look around (up to 30 mins). There is a small area with a couple of pet sheep which are friendly enough to get up close and feed. Poppy and Rosie are always keen for their sheep nuts and a bit of attention. You can also have a look around and sample some of our home grown seasonal produce from our fruit trees and vegetable garden.
MOUNTAIN BIKE HIRE - INCLUDED
Explore the range of tracks the Waipa Mountain has to offer - suitable for various levels of ability. You are welcome to bring your own mountain bikes to have a ride around or we have two bikes you can borrow (used at your own risk). Waipa Mountain Bike Club track starts at the bottom of the driveway.
NB: Amenities in Pirongia village are a Four Square supermarket, 24hr service station, numerous cafes and Five Stags pub. This property is close to Pirongia village (5 min), Te Awamutu (20 min), Hamilton (30 min).

Very friendly and helpful host. My daughter got to help feed and walk the pet lambs and enjoyed having chats to the hosts kids. Great views when it wasn’t cloudy and misty. Quite far into village and only really one option for eating out close by but kitchen was fully equipped. Thanks for a get away from the city.

Fantastic hidden gem and highly recommended. Wish we could've stayed longer to soak in the view more! The hosts were very friendly and prompt with communication, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks heaps.
What can I say! Such a fantastic place with an amazing view. Ruth was helpful and easy to deal with and the place had so many thoughtful things along with plenty of information. I would most definitely be coming back again in the future and will recommend to everyone I know!

I am originally from Ireland and have inherited the Irish hospitality. Spent a few years travelling before settling down in New Zealend.
