Cancellation Policy


OTBT allows landowners  to choose amongst three standardised cancellation policies (Flexible, Moderate, and Strict) that we enforce to protect both landowners and holidaymakers. A landowner's cancellation policy can be found in the Prices section of their listing page. Holiday makers must agree to the landowners cancellation policy when they make a reservation.

  • Flexible - If you cancel at least 24 hours before your check in day and time, you'll receive a full refund (minus OTBT fees). If you cancel less than 24 hours before check in, there will be no refund.
  • Moderate - If you cancel at least 3 days before your check in day and time, you'll receive a full refund (minus OTBT fees). If you cancel within the 3 days before check in, there will be no refund.
  • Strict - If you cancel at least 1 week before your check in day and time, you'll receive a full refund (minus OTBT fees). If you cancel within the 1 week before check in, there will be no refund.
  • Very Strict - If you cancel at least 2 weeks before your check in day and time, you'll receive a full refund (minus OTBT fees). If you cancel within the 2 week before check in, there will be no refund.

A landowner will choose a specific policy and add to their listing, this will be found in the Business Details section of the listing. You will be required to agree to it, right before confirming your booking or booking request.

The cancellation policy corresponds to the 'check in' time the landowner has selected. For example, if their 'check in after' time is midday and they have a Flexible Cancellation Policy, you will get a full refund if you cancel before midday the day before. If you cancel at 3pm the day before your check in, there will be no refund.

Cancellations can be made by contacting info@otbt.co.nz.  Please note there is a cancellation fee of $10 that applies to all cancellations.
