Cabins & Cottages

Fuchsia Creek, Otago                    Listed By Nic

Get back to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet of our country getaway in the historic Little Red School House, just 30 minutes inland from Oamaru, on our 940 hectare family farm which we run sheep and beef cattle on.

The farm is situated over 400m above sea level so has panoramic country views. We recommend an early morning or evening walk for taking in the sunrise or sunset.

We are happy to pick up people biking on the Alps to Ocean Trial.

Activities to engage in during your stay can include star gazing, visiting the pet sheep, cows, goats, hens and dogs, or if arranged prior to your stay we can also sometimes offer horse riding, four wheel drive trip over farm land, a ride in a side by side motorbike, watching dog trialing or sheep shearing. Or you simply relax in peace and tranquility.

About the Landowner, Nic

My husband and I are sheep and beef farmers on the foothills of Five Forks (30 minutes drive inland from Oamaru).

My husband is fourth generation on the farm, so we are passionate about the land, area and community. We have three children ranging from ages 4 - 14. During our spare time we enjoying camping, fishing, spending time at the lakes or just plain old fashioned family time together.

We love to share our piece of paradise with our guests and indulge them in the farming environment with showing them over the farm if arranged prior.
