The Hermits’ Hideaway is a rustic cabin hidden away in the hills just north of Levin. Self contained & off grid, this is the perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life.
There is nothing to do here but relax, kick back & de-stress.
Enjoy waking up to the sound of the birds & the wind in the trees. Have a glass of wine on the deck while watching the sun set & then get cosy by the fire while watching a movie.
The cabin has gas hot water, a view from the shower, a king size bed & a long drop toilet.
Access is via a 2.5km dirt track, so you will need a 4WD or vehicle with good ground clearance & an adventurous attitude! Then there is a steep 2 minute walk up through the trees.
The cabin sleeps two & is not suitable for children. As it is off grid it is also not suitable for hair dryers, curling irons, heaters or irons. Sheets are provided but please bring your own towels.
There is also a gallery on site, showcasing a range of quality hand crafted items that is open by appointment.
Dogs may be permitted but we do have some important requirements. Please enquire before you book if you would like to bring your dog.

Paula was a jeweller & leadlighter in a previous life and is now indulging in pottery.
