We had an amazing time staying in the cabin. From the tour of the farm to the time spent with the horses, it was everything we needed as a couple. The view of the river and the peacefulness of the sourroundings were incredible.

Rita was amazing, she took us out for a ride to move some horses around to greener pasture. the place is so serene and the view of the river was amazing, plus all the stars in the sky at night. All the amenities you'll need, you feel so secluded and yet all the shops are just a 20 minute ride. it was a cool night but the cabin was so well insulated. 100% staying here every time we visit NZ

I had a blast staying at Rita’s farm. The cabin is clean and very cozy with a beautiful view of the river. Rita is an amazing host and she goes the extra mile to make sure we’re enjoying our stay. We had a farm tour on Christmas morning which was incredible. The landscape at which the farm is located in is so picturesque. Overall, I highly recommend Rita’s farm. It exceeded my expectations and we’ll definitely come back again. - Patrick
For us, it was the last night on the North Island and the perfect ending. The property is in a fantastic location, pure nature. We felt very comfortable and slept super well Rita is warm and open-minded. Unfortunately, we were missing the time to visit the farm, we will make up for it on occasion. - Esther
We'll never forget our time here and only wish we could have stayed longer. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the place. It was incredibly peaceful with some great walking from the door and a joy to sit on the deck out front gazing at the river and the horses munching away.
The cabin is well thought out, the bed was super comfortable and the shower piping hot. The adjacent cabin is not currently occupied so we had a lot of privacy. Rita couldn't have been any more accommodating and it was a pleasure to view the farm with her and learn about the land and her work. We'd happily go back there in a heartbeat. - Katy

About your host, Rita
I am from a business back ground but I always wanted to be farming. I have been farming this 230acre drystock farm, on my own now, since 2012. Even though it is challenging I prefer it to the full time office work I undertook in my previous business. I like to farm with as little inputs (chemicals & fertiliser) as possible so I run low numbers on big land which is better for the land, the animals, myself and the bush and waterways. The cabins provide the income to allow me to go easy on the land by having the low numbers of livestock. I love sharing my little piece of paradise with others & believe everyone needs to get away for Rest & Restoration (R&R) from time to time. I hope to see you here at Riverside R&R soon.
